The elements of nature are forces to be reckoned with. Earth, Wind, Fire and Air shape and form the world we live in. When these forces combine, the outcome is awe inspiring and spectacular.
Saturday, August 11th marks the fifth anniversary of the Elements NYC Music and Arts Festival, taking place at Hunts Point in The Bronx. Elements NYC will combine an industrial waterfront with innovative technology, other-worldly immersive art, interactive performances, and breathtaking musical talents.
With one of its most exciting lineups to date, Elements NYC will bring 32 artists from across the musical spectrum to perform on their own uniquely themed stage. Emotional and heavy acts such as Bassnectar, Emancipator, and Desert Dwellers will hit the Earth Stage as they make the ground shake. Smooth and funky acts like Goldfish, SNBRN and The Golden Pony flood the Water Stage. The Fire Stage lights up and ignites with Justin Jay, Sage Armstrong, and Bruno Furlan. The final stage, the Air Stage, graces us with celestial acts like, Lost Desert, Dance Spirit (Live) and Eli Light… each stage truly bringing its own unique tone and motif.
Elements NYC goes beyond the music in curating an immersive experience unlike any other. “Art of the Future” will showcase art installations driven by technology from 14 artists. To start, Marpi presents us with an interactive large scale projection mapping using Kinect; LED sculptures by Orbism will pulse to attendees’ heartbeats; and photographer Jarid Blue will use human bodies as a canvas to project digital imagery. Other notable installations will be the “Salix Vivifica”, a weeping willow that uses sensor based misters by Dom Romaniello & Rachel Smucker; and “Whispers in the Grove”, a collection of LEDS and sensors that respond to sound by Mirabai Howard-Geoghan, Kathy Creutzburg, and Natalia Lesniak.
"Art Of The Future"
The art does not stop there. Led by Julianne Irene, the creative team has collaborated with 30 artists and will transform Hunts Point into an interactive playground. While exploring, attendees will find climbable structures, the Lotus art car by Eagle Rock Studios, an alien garden known as the “Galactic Green House, and “Pipe Dreams”, a dark cosmic peep show hidden inside a silo. The Fire Stage will burst into flames with pyrotechnics, the Earth Stage will feature psychedelic trees sprouting throughout, and the pirate ship last seen sailing in Pennsylvania will drop anchor and serve as the Water Stage. Attendees will also take notice of performers roaming around the grounds including the Team Kitty Koalition, consisting of gogo/choreo dancers, stilt walkers, aerialists and LED performers.
For those looking for fun-filled activities during some downtime, festival goers can head over to the Big Kids Carnival Games presented by Rawb Lane. Here, participants can test their skills by knocking down targets at The Wet Paint Pitch, drop it at The Bass Drop vertical target game, and as night falls, join in on a glow in the dark champagne ring toss.

All of this music, art, interactive displays, and activities will surely work up an appetite. A plethora of food vendors will help sate whatever your palate desires. From tacos to burgers, and Thai to Mediterranean, you will be able to travel the world without leaving the festival grounds.

Set Times
Elements NYC is a must-go for all music and art lovers. In addition, Elements NYC will be hosting a multitude of workshops including, bass yoga, sound healing, meditation, and much more. This festival experience will surely be one of the most diverse and engaging experiences to hit the East Coast this year.
