Ever since I selected underground as my gamerzone back when the Xbox 360 first launched; I've tried to remain subterranean. But what exactly does it mean to be in the "underground"? The gamerzone definition meant you were ruthless and took no prisoners while gaming. But I think it means something else. I believe it relates more to something being raw or in its natural state. In the underground things are unpolished and sometimes even messy, but that's the beauty of it. You see something as it is, unfiltered and untouched without any schemas or preconceived notions disguising it. To me the song "Come As You Are" by Nirvana could be used as a great motto as to what the underground symbolizes. While many debate as to what the song as whole means, the four words "Come As You Are" can only mean one thing. "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken." Having said all of that you may wonder where I am going with all of this.

In the underground is where you find individuals who are pushing the envelope and constantly innovating to find new and unique outcomes. The idea of the underground exists in all facets of life whether it be art, sports or cinema. Here is where new ideas are created and where they evolve into their full potential. Today I bring you another rabbit hole to venture down.

The Sugoi Creative Collective is a collection of like minded individuals who work together with the goal of making the future more harmonic. The mediums used to achieve this goal range from music and visuals arts, to writing and flow arts. I am fortunate enough to announce that I will be a late round draft pick for the collective and thrilled to be a part of the team. Still in its infancy, Sugoi aims to create a space of freedom and creativity, where collaboration is key.
